Slinger/Signaller Awareness – Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

What you will learn:

Upon completion of this course, you should have a knowledge of:

  • Both the regulatory requirements of your job and the operational requirements of the lifting operation
  • The pre-use checks of the lifting accessories
  • Attaching and detaching the load to the crane correctly and in accordance with the lifting plan
  • Giving the appropriate signals to the crane operator for the lifting, transferring and positioning of loads in a safe manner
  • Ensuring that the lifting accessories are stored correctly and reporting any defects
