I now work as a Principal Airfield Engineer for Mott Macdonald. I engaged with BuildForce early into my resettlement journey, a decision well made. Attending their Insight Days, I was able to engage with would-be employers, helping me to foster new relationships and discuss opportunities. This also helped to improve confidence in my own abilities by realising the transferable skills we all bring as veterans.
As a Chartered Engineer, I lead teams of Airfield Engineers undertaking airfield design works. The hard-won skills and experiences honed in the military has helped me complete new and challenging tasks.
I’m now working on a major project for Defence and relishing every minute
