  • What is BuildForce?
    BuildForce is a Community Interest Company, created by the construction industry in 2011. It is led by 5 major contractors and supported by a further 120+ nationwide. We bring industry to our veterans and service leavers to support them into long term career in construction. We are dedicated to improving skills and diversity in industry.
  • Are all ex-military able to sign up?
    BuildForce is inclusive to all service leavers and veterans. The diversity of our veterans and service leavers adds to the wealth of our industry. We are wholly inclusive and support of all our ex-military community:
    • Veterans and service leavers who are members of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community
    • Female veterans and service leavers
    • Veterans and service leavers with disabilities
    • Veterans and service leavers within the LGBT+ community
    • Long-term unemployed veterans
    • Homeless veterans
    • Veterans and service leavers with criminal records
  • What is the process for signing up?
    The signup process for veterans and service leavers and service leavers is very simple. Once you have successfully registered using our online form, a representative will contact you and guide you through the next steps

  • What is the BuildForce Alliance?
    The BuildForce Alliance is a UK-wide network of employers, industry bodies and military charities, supported by Government and working in partnership with The Royal Foundation, who are actively seeking to support our ex-military community. This includes site visits, mentors, career chats, work experience, Insight days and employment opportunities.
  • How do I become a member of the BuildForce Alliance?

  • Is BuildForce an official MoD initiative?
    BuildForce is an industry-led organisation addressing diversity, skills and labour shortages in industry, by recruiting from our ex-military community and their families.  We are a member for the Armed Forces covenant and encourage our industry Alliance to sign up. Our industry partners include a large number of construction businesses, including main contractors, consultants and membership bodies.
