How BuildForce works for Mentors and Supporters
Some organisations, including charities, service associations and military recruitment organisations, and also individuals, may not be able to offer employment opportunities to our beneficiaries, but may still wish to support BuildForce.
Our Mentors are fundamental to the success of BuildForce. The dedicated support offered to ex-Service personnel helps facilitate the transition from Military to construction careers and it is through our network of Mentors that Veterans are able to reach their full potential.
BuildForce Mentors offer one to one support and guidance throughout the journey from Military to civilian life. Mentoring naturally requires commitment in order to place individuals in the right employment and help them to realise and achieve their personal goals.
For supporters and mentors, joining BuildForce brings a range of benefits:
- As a Mentor you will develop your own skill set and achieve fulfilling results in helping service leavers transition to construction careers
- Receive specialised training and mentoring toolkit
- Gain mentoring experience and connect with people with valuable skills
- Meet industry leaders and organisations and grow your professional network
If you feel that you are able to help, particularly if you have personal experience of transferring your skills from the Armed Forces to a Construction career, then we really want to hear from you.
