Quality Engineer – Infrastructure Programme

Join an exciting and diverse Infrastructure Programme of multi-Billion GBP investment, over the next 15+ years for the UK Defence sector. Supporting the Project Delivery Teams, you will be the focal point to ensure projects are delivered to the Quality requirements by working with internal and external stakeholders.

Location – Hybrid role / Reading / Basingstoke – flexible working from home available

Salary: £35,720 – £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Work collaboratively within Project Teams and the supply chain, delivering new build and re-kit projects
  • Assist in embedding a positive Quality Culture from Project Kick-Off to Handover with all stakeholders
  • Represent Quality at key stakeholder meetings including design and technical reviews
  • Conducting internal project audits
  • Engaging with the supply chain for FATs / ITPs, surveillance, and audits
  • Providing data to key reporting metrics and KPIs
  • Management of NCRs and facilitating Learning from Experience workshops
  • Supporting workshops to promote performance improvement
  • Review of Lifetime Records to support Handover to facilities

To be successful in this role you should have some of the following skills/experience:

  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders
  • Wide ranging Quality experience, preferably in a construction project and/or industrial setting
  • Relevant BTEC/A-Level or equivalent qualification and/or related experience
  • Affiliate of a recognised related professional body, or working towards e.g., CQI
  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor trained and relevant audit experience
  • Working knowledge of national and international quality standards, e.g., ISO9001
  • Identifying opportunities for process and cost efficiencies/improvements
  • IT Skills, including use of MS Office software
